# AI answer generator: clear answers to any question

Canonical URL: https://luckpanda.app/chatbot/tools/ai-answer-generator
Language: en
Updated October 14, 2026

Ask a question and choose where the answer comes from: general knowledge, one web page, or text you paste. Then pick a short answer, steps or a detailed explanation.

Free tool: https://luckpanda.app/chatbot/tools/ai-answer-generator (generator, customer-service)

Agents: run it over MCP (https://luckpanda.app/mcp) with chatbot_public_tool_run { "tool": "ai-answer-generator", "lang": "en", "inputs": { … } }; chatbot_public_tool_list gives the inputs.

**Example:**

```text
A refund is when the seller sends your money back, usually after you return an item or cancel an order. A chargeback is when your card issuer reverses the payment after you dispute it, and the seller may be asked to show the charge was valid. A refund is the usual first step; a chargeback is meant for when the seller will not help or you did not make the purchase.
```

## How to get an AI answer

> An AI answer generator writes a direct answer to your question. Type the question, then choose the source: general knowledge for everyday questions, a web page when the answer must come from one site, or pasted text when it must come from your own material. Pick a short answer, steps or a detailed explanation. With a page or text, it answers only from that material and says so when the answer is not there.

1. **Write one clear question.** Ask the way you would ask a colleague. One question per run gives the clearest answer.
2. **Choose where the answer comes from.** General knowledge, a web page address, or text you paste. A page or text keeps the answer to that material.
3. **Pick the format.** A short answer of two to four sentences, numbered steps, or a direct answer followed by more detail.
4. **Read it before you use it.** The answer is written by AI. Check facts that matter, especially dates, amounts and anything legal or medical.

## Three sources: which one to use

The source decides what the AI is allowed to use. Choose it before you write the question.

| Source | Use it when | Watch out for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| General knowledge | The question is about how things usually work: concepts, definitions, how-tos. The AI reads only your question. | Facts that change often, such as prices, laws or opening hours. It says when an answer depends on the situation. |
| A web page | The answer must come from one site: a store’s shipping page, a product page, a help article. The AI reads the text of that one public page. | Pages behind a login, and content that loads only after the page opens, cannot be read. |
| Text I paste | The answer must come from your material: an email thread, a policy, your notes, a reading. The AI reads only what you paste, up to 2,800 characters. | Paste the relevant part, not the whole document. For a long PDF, use the chat with PDF tool. |

The difference matters most when the answer is not there. With general knowledge, the AI explains what is usually true. With a page or pasted text, it does not fill the gap from general knowledge: it says in one sentence that the material does not say, and stops. That is the answer you want when you are checking what a page actually promises.

*Source: a web page, example.com/help/shipping*

Visitor: Do you ship to Canada, and how long does it take?

Chatbot: Yes. The page says orders ship to Canada with standard delivery in 6 to 10 business days, and customs fees are paid by the buyer on delivery.

Visitor: Can I pay the customs fees in advance?

Chatbot: The page does not say whether customs fees can be paid in advance.

## One question, three formats

The same question, "How do I set up returns for a small online store?", answered from general knowledge.

**Short answer**

```text
Decide your return window, the condition items must be in, and who pays return shipping. Write it as a short returns page and link it from your footer and order emails. Then make one process for your team: how a request comes in, who approves it and when the refund is sent.
```

**Step by step**

```text
1. Choose a return window, for example 14 or 30 days from delivery.
2. List what can and cannot be returned, and the condition items must be in.
3. Decide who pays return shipping and how refunds are paid.
4. Write a returns page in plain words and link it from your footer and checkout.
5. Set up one way to request a return: a form, an email address or your chat.
6. Check each return when it arrives, then send the refund and tell the customer.
```

**Detailed**

```text
Start with three decisions: how long customers have to return an item, what condition it must be in, and who pays to send it back. Everything else follows from those.
Write them down as a short returns page. Customers look for it before they buy, so link it from the footer, the checkout and the order confirmation. Say what is excluded, such as personalized or hygiene items, and how the refund is paid.
Then set up the process behind it. One place for requests, one person who approves them, and a rule for when the refund goes out. Check the law where you sell: some places set a minimum return period that you cannot shorten.
```

| Format | Pick it when |
| --- | --- |
| Short answer | You need the answer itself, fast, or you will paste it into a chat or an email. |
| Step by step | Someone has to do something: set up, fix, apply, send. One line per step. |
| Detailed | The why matters as much as the what, or you are explaining it to someone else. |

## Worked examples

**Text I paste: an email thread with a supplier**

```text
Question: What did the supplier agree to, and by when?
Answer: Lina at the print shop agreed to reprint the 200 flyers with the corrected phone number at no charge. She will send a proof by Wednesday, and the reprint ships two working days after you approve it. She asked you to return the misprinted flyers or confirm they were destroyed.
```

The answer uses only the thread you paste. It names no date the thread did not give.

**General knowledge: a question with no single answer**

```text
Question: What is a good response time for live chat on a website?
Answer: It depends on what your visitors expect and how many people you have. People on live chat expect a much faster reply than by email, because they are still on your page. If you cannot reply that fast at all hours, say so in the chat window, show your hours, and offer to reply by email instead.
```

It says when an answer depends on the situation, and it is told never to invent statistics, studies, quotations or links.

**A web page: checking your own FAQ**

```text
Question: Can I change my delivery address after I order?
Source: yourstore.com/faq
Answer: The page does not say whether you can change the delivery address after ordering.
```

If your own page cannot answer a question your customers ask, you have found a gap to fill.

## Who uses it, and for what

**Support teams**
- Point it at a help article to check what it really says before you quote it.
- Paste a long ticket thread and ask what the customer actually asked for.
- Ask for steps to turn an explanation into instructions a customer can follow.

**Store and website owners**
- Ask your own pages the questions your customers ask. A "does not say" is a gap.
- Check a supplier’s or a carrier’s page for one fact without reading all of it.
- Paste your returns or shipping policy and ask the awkward questions.

**Students and everyone else**
- Paste a reading and get the answer from it, not from the internet.
- Ask everyday how-to questions and choose Step by step.
- Ask for Detailed when you need to explain something to someone else.

## Common mistakes

- Asking two questions in one. Split them and run each one; the answers get clearer.
- Using general knowledge for facts that change, such as prices, laws, fees or opening hours. Point it at the page that states them.
- Pointing it at a home page when the answer is on a help or policy page. Use the address of the page that holds the answer.
- Pasting a whole document. Paste the part that matters; the limit is 2,800 characters.
- Treating the answer as advice. For legal, medical or financial decisions, use it to understand, then ask a professional.
- Copying it without reading it. Check names, numbers and dates against the source.

## Answer your customers the same way, on your website

The "web page" source is how a LuckPanda support agent works, on every page of your site.

A support agent reads your website pages and the documents you add, then answers visitors only from them, at any hour. When your pages have nothing on a question, it says so instead of guessing, and it can hand the chat to a person on your team. You see every chat, so the questions it could not answer show you which page to write next.

*On a bike shop’s website*

Visitor: Do you fit the bikes before delivery?

Chatbot: Yes. Every bike is assembled and adjusted by our mechanics before it ships, and the first service within six weeks is free in our workshop. Would you like help choosing a frame size?

**Answer every visitor from your own pages** Free to set up and test. You pay only to go live. [See the AI customer service agent](https://luckpanda.app/chatbot/ai-customer-service-agent)

## Questions people ask

### Is the AI answer generator free?

Yes. There is no account and no sign-up. The free tools have a fair-use limit per hour and per day.

### Are AI answers accurate?

Usually, for well-known topics, but not always. Answers from a web page or pasted text are limited to that material, which makes them easier to check. Always check dates, amounts and anything you will act on.

### Can it answer a question from a specific website?

Yes. Choose A web page and give the address of the page that holds the answer. It reads that one public page, not the whole site, and pages behind a login cannot be read.

### Does it make up sources or links?

It is told never to invent statistics, studies, quotations or links, and to say when an answer depends on the situation. With a web page or pasted text, it says when the material does not contain the answer.

### Can it answer questions about my notes or a reading?

Yes. Choose Text I paste and paste up to 2,800 characters. The answer comes only from that text. For a long PDF, use the free chat with PDF tool instead.

### Is what I type stored?

No. Your question and material are sent to the AI to write the answer and are not kept. LuckPanda only counts how often the tool is used, without any text.
