# Competitor analysis generator

Canonical URL: https://luckpanda.app/chatbot/tools/competitor-analysis-generator
Language: en
Updated October 14, 2026

Enter your page and a competitor’s page. The tool reads the text of those two public pages, compares what each one promises, offers and proves, and suggests what to change on yours.

Free tool: https://luckpanda.app/chatbot/tools/competitor-analysis-generator (generator, website)

Agents: run it over MCP (https://luckpanda.app/mcp) with chatbot_public_tool_run { "tool": "competitor-analysis-generator", "lang": "en", "inputs": { … } }; chatbot_public_tool_list gives the inputs.

**Example:**

```text
At a glance
Your page: a coffee subscription from a small roaster, a fresh bag every two or four weeks, for people who drink the same coffee at home.
Competitor’s page: a coffee club with a monthly box of three coffees from different roasters, for people who like to try new coffees.
Messaging
- Yours: "Fresh-roasted coffee, delivered when you need it."
- Theirs: "Three new coffees every month."
- Theirs is clearer to a first-time visitor: the headline says what arrives and how often. Yours says "fresh" but explains it only halfway down the page.
Offer and pricing
- Yours: 250 g or 500 g bags, from $16.00 per delivery. Skip or pause any time.
- Theirs: one box at $29.00 a month, first box 20% off, cancel any time.
- Shipping costs: not on the page, on either site.
Trust
- Yours: the roast date printed on every bag, a photo of the roastery, an email address. Reviews: not on the page.
- Theirs: three customer quotes and a promise to replace a coffee you do not like.
Calls to action
- Yours: "Start my subscription", at the top and the bottom.
- Theirs: "Get my first box", plus "Give it as a gift".
Questions a visitor would still have
- How many days after roasting does it ship? Not on your page, and not on theirs.
- What does shipping cost? Not on either page.
- Can I choose the grind? Not on your page; the competitor’s page says yes.
What to do next
- Put the freshness promise in the headline, for example "Roasted on [roast day], shipped within [number] days".
- Show shipping costs next to the plan prices.
- Add two or three customer reviews near the "Start my subscription" button.
For your chat agent
"We roast in small batches and print the roast date on every bag. You choose a 250 g or 500 g bag every two or four weeks, and you can skip or pause any time. If you would rather try a different roaster each month, a coffee club may suit you better."
## What a competitor analysis compares
> A competitor analysis compares what you and a rival offer, say and prove, so you can see where you win and what to fix. This tool does it for two pages: it reads only the text of your page and one competitor page you name. No pages behind a login, no other pages and no outside knowledge. Anything the pages do not show is marked "not on the page".
1. **Enter your page.** The page that matters most: your home page, a product page or your pricing page.
2. **Enter the competitor’s matching page.** Compare like with like: their pricing page with yours, their product page with yours. Only public pages can be read.
3. **Choose a focus.** Everything evenly, or one part in more depth: messaging, offer and pricing, trust, or support.
4. **Check before you act.** About the first 4,000 characters of each page are read. Check anything important on the live pages before you change yours.
## What the tool reads, and what it does not
**It reads**
- The text of the two public pages you enter.
- About the first 4,000 characters of each.
- Through a safe fetch that refuses private and internal addresses.
**It does not read**
- Other pages of either site.
- Anything behind a login.
- Reviews, ads or social posts elsewhere.
- Outside knowledge about either company. It never guesses prices, ratings or market share.
So the result is a page-level comparison. A full competitor analysis also needs your own research: the competitor’s other pages, reviews and what your customers tell you.
## Competitor analysis template
Use this checklist for the parts the tool cannot see. Fill one row per area, for each competitor.
| Area | Questions to answer | Where to look |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Audience | Who does each one sell to? Who do they leave out? | Home page headline, case studies |
| Promise | What is the main promise, in a few words? Which is clearer? | Home page, ads |
| Offer and price | Plans, prices, trials, guarantees, delivery terms. | Pricing page, checkout |
| Proof | Reviews, client logos, numbers, certifications. | Home page, review sites |
| Calls to action | What does each one ask a visitor to do first? | Buttons on key pages |
| Support | Chat, phone, email, help center, reply times. | Contact and help pages |
| Gaps | Which buyer questions does neither answer? | Your own chats, emails and calls |
**Competitor summary (copy and fill)**
```text
Competitor: [name] ([website])
Date checked: [date]

They do better: [one or two points]
We do better: [one or two points]
Their offer: [plans, prices, trial, guarantee, as shown]
Our offer: [the same, for us]
Questions buyers still have: [three questions]
What we change first: [one change, who, by when]
Our answer to "How are you different from [name]?": [two sentences, facts only]
```
## Common mistakes
- Comparing different kinds of pages, such as their pricing page with your home page.
- Copying their message instead of saying what you do differently.
- Trusting old notes. Pages change, so date every analysis.
- Running down the competitor. Buyers trust facts they can check.
- A long list of findings and no owner. Pick three changes and make them.
## Answer "How are you different from X?" in your website chat
Visitors ask this before they buy, often in a chat. The "For your chat agent" part of the result is a short answer built only from your page.
A LuckPanda sales agent answers the same question on your website from your own pages and documents. It says what you do, recommends one next step with a link, and saves the visitor as a lead when they leave an email or phone and want to buy. It never invents prices or features. To help it answer comparisons fairly, add a short FAQ to its sources with facts you can stand behind.
*A visitor compares two coffee subscriptions*
Visitor: How are you different from Rival Coffee Club?
Chatbot: We roast in small batches and print the roast date on every bag. You choose a 250 g or 500 g bag every two or four weeks, and you can skip or pause any time. Would you like to see the plans?
## Questions people ask
### What is a competitor analysis?
It is a structured comparison of what you and your competitors offer, say and prove to buyers, so you can see where you are stronger, where you are weaker and what to change.
### How do you do a competitor analysis?
Pick two or three real competitors. Compare matching pages: audience, main promise, offer and price, proof, calls to action and support. Note the questions nobody answers, then choose three changes to make first.
### What should a competitor analysis template include?
The competitor and the date, then rows for audience, promise, offer and price, proof, calls to action, support and gaps, and a short list of what you will change.
### Can this tool read my competitor’s whole website?
No. It reads only the two public pages you enter, about the first 4,000 characters of each. It does not follow links, read pages behind a login or use outside knowledge about either company.
### How should I answer "How are you different from a competitor?"
Say what you do, with facts a buyer can check, and who you suit best. Do not criticize the competitor. Keep it under 60 words and end with a next step, such as a trial or a demo.
