Chatbot use case

Answer customers from the pages you already wrote

Most support questions have an answer on your website: delivery times, returns, pricing, opening hours. The chatbot reads those pages, answers in the visitor's language, and sends anything it cannot answer to a person.

No account needed to try it. We read the public pages of your site, build the chatbot in about a minute and delete it after 7 days unless you keep it.

  • Answers only from your own pages
  • Hands over to a person when it cannot answer
  • Free to set up and test
The problem

The same ten questions, every day

Look at your inbox. A small set of questions makes up most of it, and each already has an answer somewhere on your site.

What the customer asksWhere the answer already is
When will my order arrive?Shipping page
Can I return this?Returns policy
Do you charge for installation?Pricing or service page
Are you open on Sunday?Contact page
How do I reset my password?Help article

The bot finds these the way a person would: by searching your pages. Nothing is retyped into a separate tool.

People rarely read the page. They write to you instead, at nine at night, and wait until the morning. Some do not wait.

A real conversation

What a visitor sees

Sample conversation on a furniture shop's website

Can I return a sofa if it doesn't fit through the door?
Yes. You can return a sofa within 14 days of delivery. We collect it from your home, and the delivery charge is not refunded.
Searched knowledge: sofa return policy
From the page: Returns and refunds
And if it arrives scratched?
Send us a photo within 48 hours and we will replace it at no cost. I can pass this to the team so they can arrange it. Would you like that?
Searched knowledge: damaged on delivery
Yes please, my number is 98xxxxxx21
Done. I have flagged this chat for the team, and someone will reply here during working hours.
Handed to a person: damaged item, wants a replacement

The bot answered two questions from the shop's own policy pages, and when the case needed a person, it said so and passed the chat on. It did not invent a refund rule.

How it works

What the bot does with each question

  1. Looks it upBefore it answers about prices, policies or features, it searches your pages, documents and answers.
  2. Answers from what it foundIt writes a short reply in the visitor's language, using your wording.
  3. Says when it does not knowIf nothing matches, it tells the visitor and offers to pass the chat to your team.
  4. Hands overThe chat is flagged as waiting for you. You take it over, reply as your business and hand it back.
Setting it up

Four steps, and the first two are free

  1. Paste your addressThe bot reads your public pages. Add a PDF of your policies if they live outside the site.
  2. Ask it what customers askUse the test chat. If an answer is wrong, fix the page or add an answer, and it uses your wording.
  3. Set when it hands overChoose topics that always go to a person, such as refunds or complaints, and say when your team is online.
  4. Put it on your siteGo live with one line of script. This is the step that needs the Chatbot plan.
What matters

The features a support team uses

Handoff

  • Topics that always go to a person
  • Hand off after a number of bot replies
  • Chats waiting for you in one list

Takeover

  • Take over and reply as your business
  • The bot stays quiet while you have the chat
  • Hand back when you are done

Hours

  • Set when your team is online
  • Outside hours it still answers and says when a person will reply
  • Email alerts when a chat needs you
Honest limits

What it will not do

  • It will not know what is not on your site or in your documents. A missing answer becomes a handoff, not a guess.
  • It cannot see an order or an account unless you connect a read-only API or MCP server for live data.
  • It does not issue refunds, change orders or take payments. A person does that.
  • It can still be wrong. Test it with real questions before you go live, and read the chats afterwards.

Questions

Will it make up answers?

It is told to search your content first and to say when it does not know, and in the test chat you can see what it looked up. No chatbot can promise it will never be wrong, so test it on real questions and fix any source it misreads.

What if a customer wants a person?

The bot offers a handoff when it cannot answer, and the chat shows as waiting for a person. You can also list topics, such as refunds or complaints, that always go to your team.

Can it look up my customer's order?

Yes, if you connect a read-only API or an MCP server that returns order data. Without that connection it only knows what is in your content.

Does it work outside business hours?

Yes. You can set your team's hours; outside them the bot still answers from your pages and tells the visitor when a person will reply.

How much does it cost?

Building and testing are free. Putting it on your website is ₹249 a month for up to 10 websites.

For AI agents

Build it with your AI agent

Give an agent your site and it can create the chatbot, read your pages and test it through LuckPanda's API and MCP. It prepares the work; going live stays with you.

Use LuckPanda's MCP server (https://luckpanda.app/mcp) to build a website chatbot for me. Ask for my website address, call chatbot_create_from_website with it, wait until the pages are learned (chatbot_source_list), then run a few test questions with chatbot_test_message and show me the answers. Do not put it live: I will do that myself.

Instructions for AI agents

Needs a LuckPanda agent key (Settings › Developers) with the chatbot.manage grant. MCP endpoint: https://luckpanda.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP, bearer key).

  • chatbot_create_from_website { url }: creates a draft chatbot named after the site and starts reading it.
  • chatbot_source_list: pages learned, failed or skipped, with a reason for each.
  • chatbot_test_message: asks the bot a question as the owner. Test chats never email anyone.
  • Going live (chatbot_update with status live) is a person's action; an agent gets APPROVAL_REQUIRED.

See it on your own website

Paste your address and watch the chatbot learn your pages. No account and no card.
