Chatbot use case

Turn website visitors into leads you can call back

Set the goal to lead generation and the chatbot finds out what a visitor needs, asks for a phone number or email and up to five questions of your own, and saves the lead in LuckPanda CRM with a follow-up task.

No account needed to try it. We read the public pages of your site, build the chatbot in about a minute and delete it after 7 days unless you keep it.

  • Leads land in your CRM with a task
  • Your own questions, one or two at a time
  • Free to set up and test
Form or chat

Why a contact form loses people

A form asks for everything before it gives anything. Most visitors came with one question, and leave when nobody answers it.

Sample conversation

Three lead questions, asked in passing

Sample conversation on a fictional rooftop solar installer's website. Lead questions: monthly bill, own roof, area.

How much does a 3 kW solar system cost?
Our 3 kW home package is ₹1,85,000 including installation, as listed on our packages page. The right size depends on how much electricity you use. What is your average monthly bill?
Searched knowledge: 3 kW system price
From the page: Home solar packages
Around ₹3,500 in summer
Thanks. For a bill of that size, our sizing guide suggests starting at 3 kW. Is the roof your own, or shared with other flats?
Searched knowledge: system size by monthly bill
Own house, in Kothrud
Kothrud is in our service area. The site survey is free, and the team uses it to give you an exact quote. What name and phone number should they call?
Searched knowledge: service area Kothrud
From the page: Free site survey
Meera Kulkarni, 98xxxxxx07
Thank you, Meera. I have passed your details to the team, and they will call you to arrange the survey.
Lead captured and added to CRM

The bot answered the price question from the installer's own page before it asked for anything. It saved the lead only once Meera gave a phone number, with her three answers attached.

Where it lands

What one captured lead becomes

What is createdWhere you find it
A prospect with a contact: name, phone, email, companyCRM, as a prospect
A CRM lead with the source Chatbot, the summary of the need and the answersCRM leads
A follow-up task named after the needCRM, with the prospect
The full chat, the page the visitor was on, the summary and answersChatbot History, filter Has lead
A Lead received email, once per chatUp to 10 addresses you choose
A signed lead.captured webhookYour own system

The lead is saved as soon as the visitor gives an email or phone number. Anything they add later in the chat is added to the same lead, not saved as a new one.

Leads come from chats on your live website, which needs the Chatbot plan, and so do the email alert and the webhook. Test chats show the captured details in History, but they never create CRM records or send anything.

Setting it up

Decide what to ask before you go live

  1. Pick lead generation as the goalThe bot then works out early what the visitor needs, and steers towards a next step: a call, a quote or a demo.
  2. Choose the contact detailsAny of name, email, phone, company and country. Email or phone must be one of them, because a lead you cannot reach is not a lead.
  3. Write up to five lead questionsBudget, timeline, location, size: whatever your team asks on the first call. The bot asks one or two at a time and saves the answers with the lead.
  4. Choose who hears about itTurn on Lead received alerts for up to 10 addresses, or send each lead to your own tools through a webhook.
Your choice

Straight into the CRM, or reviewed first

One setting, Add leads to CRM automatically, decides whether a lead becomes a CRM record the moment it is captured.

Automatic: on

  • A prospect, contact, CRM lead and follow-up task are created as soon as the visitor gives an email or phone
  • Details the visitor adds later go onto the same lead
  • Suits a business where every enquiry is worth a call

Automatic: off

  • The lead stays in History with its summary and answers
  • Someone reads the chat and chooses Add to CRM, as a lead or as a client
  • Details are prefilled from the chat and can be corrected first
  • Suits a site that also gets job seekers, vendors and students
Before you rely on it

What it does not do

  • It saves a lead only when the visitor types an email or phone number. It never guesses one.
  • It does not book calls into a calendar. It tells the visitor the team will be in touch, and your team arranges the time.
  • It does not quote prices that are not in your content. If your price depends on a survey or a call, say so on the page, and the bot will say it too.
  • It does not copy leads into another CRM by itself. Use the webhook if you need them elsewhere.

Questions

Does it ask for contact details before it answers?

No. It finds out what the visitor needs and answers what your content covers, then asks for contact details and your lead questions, one or two at a time. You can add your own guidance in the bot's instructions.

What if the visitor will not share a phone number?

Then no lead is saved, and the chat stays in History so you can still read what they asked. If you ask for both email and phone, either one is enough to save the lead.

I already use another CRM. Can leads go there?

Every lead is saved in LuckPanda CRM. To copy it to another system, turn on the signed lead.captured webhook and have your system receive it. There are no ready-made connectors to other CRMs.

Can I see which page the lead came from?

Yes. The chat records the page the visitor was on, and both the Lead received email and the webhook include it.

Do test chats create leads?

They show the captured details in History with a Test label, but they never create CRM records, send alerts or call your webhook.

How much does it cost?

Building and testing are free. Putting the bot on your website, lead alerts and webhooks need the Chatbot plan: ₹249 a month or ₹2,241 a year, for up to 10 websites.

For AI agents

Build it with your AI agent

Give an agent your site and it can create the chatbot, read your pages and test it through LuckPanda's API and MCP. It prepares the work; going live stays with you.

Use LuckPanda's MCP server (https://luckpanda.app/mcp) to build a website chatbot for me. Ask for my website address, call chatbot_create_from_website with it, wait until the pages are learned (chatbot_source_list), then run a few test questions with chatbot_test_message and show me the answers. Do not put it live: I will do that myself.

Instructions for AI agents

Needs a LuckPanda agent key (Settings › Developers) with the chatbot.manage grant. MCP endpoint: https://luckpanda.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP, bearer key).

  • chatbot_create_from_website { url }: creates a draft chatbot named after the site and starts reading it.
  • chatbot_source_list: pages learned, failed or skipped, with a reason for each.
  • chatbot_test_message: asks the bot a question as the owner. Test chats never email anyone.
  • Going live (chatbot_update with status live) is a person's action; an agent gets APPROVAL_REQUIRED.

See it on your own website

Paste your address and watch the chatbot learn your pages. No account and no card.
