Who should pick which
Pick Chatbase if
- You want the same AI agent on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Slack or the phone, not only your website.
- Your team already works in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Help Scout or Salesforce and the bot has to fit into it.
- A buyer or auditor asks for a SOC 2 Type II report, or you need a HIPAA-eligible workspace.
- You want the bot to learn from Notion pages or past support tickets.
Pick LuckPanda if
- Your website is the channel that matters and you want one flat price, not a credit pool.
- You run several small websites: one plan covers up to 10 of them.
- You want leads to land in a CRM with a follow-up task, without wiring up another tool.
- You already use, or want, invoicing and CRM from the same suite.
Training sources and accuracy
A chatbot answers well when the right content is in it. Here is what each one can read.

|---|---|---|
| Website | Up to 50 pages per crawl, same site only | Crawl from a homepage, an XML sitemap or a list of URLs |
| Files | PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, CSV, up to 5 MB each | PDF, TXT, DOC, DOCX, up to 20 MB each |
| Typed content | Text and FAQ answers | Text snippets and Q&A pairs |
| Other apps | None | Notion pages; closed tickets from Salesforce or Zendesk |
| Live data | Read-only connections: HTTP GET and MCP tools marked read-only | Not covered in the pages we read |
| Total size | Up to 60 sources per project | A total size limit per plan, shown in the dashboard |
| Updates | Re-crawl on demand | Weekly auto-resync on Standard and Pro |
Chatbase facts come from its data sources guide and pricing page. We have not run a side-by-side accuracy test, so this page makes no claim about which one answers more correctly.
With either product, accuracy depends mostly on your content. If your returns policy is out of date on the site, both bots will repeat it. Test with the questions your customers actually ask before you go live. With LuckPanda you can do that free, from a preview built from your address.
Pricing, with a worked example
Chatbase prices in US dollars and LuckPanda in Indian rupees. We show each in its own currency and do not convert.
| LuckPanda | Chatbase Hobby | Chatbase Standard | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | ₹249 | $40 | $150 |
| Yearly | ₹2,241 a year | 20% off yearly (yearly figures not shown on the page) | 20% off yearly |
| AI agents included | Up to 10 websites | 1 | 1 |
| Messages | No credit pool; 2,000 visitor messages per project per day by default | 700 message credits a month | 4,000 message credits a month |
| Free trial | Setup and testing free, no time limit | 7 days | 7 days |
- The scenarioYou run three small websites and want a separate bot on each. Monthly billing, no add-ons except where needed.
- LuckPandaOne Chatbot plan at ₹249 a month covers all three, and up to seven more. Nothing is charged per message or per seat.
- ChatbaseHobby at $40 a month includes one agent. Two extra agents at $25 a month each brings it to $90 a month, sharing 700 message credits. Each AI reply uses 1 to 5 credits depending on the model you choose.
- BrandingRemoving "Powered by Chatbase" is a $99 a month add-on. LuckPanda does not offer white-label.
The cheaper option depends on your currency, your volume and which features you need. If you need Chatbase integrations such as helpdesks or voice, those sit on Standard and above, so compare against $150 a month, not $40.
Handing a chat to a person
LuckPanda
- Chats that need a person wait in one list.
- You take over and reply as your business; the bot stays quiet until you hand it back.
- Email alerts and signed webhooks tell you when a chat needs you.
- Works on the website widget only.
Chatbase
- A Live chat action passes the chat to the Chatbase Helpdesk inbox, where it is labelled as live chat.
- Your instructions decide when it triggers; the AI stops replying while the visitor waits.
- Agents can reply and add internal notes.
- The action works on the chat bubble, help page, email, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. A Freshchat integration is also documented.
What LuckPanda does not have
- No WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Slack, Zendesk, Intercom or other channel and helpdesk integrations. Chatbase lists all of these.
- No voice or telephony.
- No scheduled re-crawl. You start a re-crawl yourself when pages change.
- No SOC 2, ISO or HIPAA certificate.
- No per-seat team model, no white-label, and no analytics dashboard beyond the chat History.
- No plugins for website platforms; you install it with one script line.
- The widget labels are in English only. Replies follow the visitor's language.

Does either one keep my content up to date automatically?
Chatbase re-reads websites, Notion pages and tickets weekly on its Standard and Pro plans, and has a Resync now button on every plan. LuckPanda has no scheduled re-crawl; you start a re-crawl yourself when pages change.
Which one has security certificates?
Chatbase says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and offers HIPAA-eligible Enterprise workspaces. LuckPanda has no SOC 2, ISO or HIPAA certificate. If you need one for procurement, Chatbase is the safer choice.
What happens when I hit a limit?
