Context

Two products for different teams

Fin is sold to support teams. It answers across channels, follows procedures you define, and hands conversations to human agents in Intercom or in another helpdesk such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Intercom says Fin works with more than 12,000 customers; that is their figure.

LuckPanda is for a business that wants its website to answer questions and capture leads. It is one module in a suite that also does CRM and invoicing, so a lead from the chat becomes a prospect with a follow-up task in the same place.

If you already have a support team in a helpdesk, Fin is likely the stronger choice. If you are a small business without one, the rest of this page will help you decide.

Cost

Per-outcome pricing against a flat price

Fin is priced in US dollars per outcome. LuckPanda is priced in Indian rupees per month. We do not convert currencies, so we show the Fin cost at a few volumes and the LuckPanda price next to it.

Fin outcomes in a monthFin at $0.99 eachLuckPanda
50$49.50₹249
200$198₹249
500$495₹249
1,000$990₹249

Fin counts one outcome per conversation at most: a resolution, a procedure handoff, a disqualification or a self-serve routing at $0.99, or a qualification at $9.99. A conversation that goes to your team without an outcome is not charged. Using Fin with another helpdesk has a minimum of 50 outcomes a month. Intercom's own helpdesk seats are extra, from $29 per seat a month (Essential); the pricing page does not say whether that figure is for monthly or annual billing.

We do not show a break-even point, because the two prices are in different currencies and a break-even would depend on an exchange rate we have not assumed. LuckPanda's price does not change with volume; each project is limited to 2,000 visitor messages a day by default and 200 messages per chat.

People

Escalation and human takeover

  1. Fin: default triggersFin escalates when a customer clearly asks for a person, shows strong frustration, or is stuck repeating themselves. In some cases it offers escalation first.
  2. Fin: your rulesEscalation rules use data such as sentiment or a VIP flag. Escalation guidance is written in plain language, with up to 100 active rules. Workflows decide what happens next.
  3. Fin: no one availableIf the workflow does not assign a teammate or inbox, Fin skips the escalation offer, so office hours and routing need to be set up.
  4. LuckPandaChats that need a person wait in one list. You take over, reply as your business and hand back. You get an email alert or a signed webhook when a chat needs you.

Intercom publishes an average resolution rate for Fin on its own site. That is a vendor figure, and we have no comparable measured number for LuckPanda, so we make no accuracy claim either way. Answers from both depend on the content you give them.

Trust

Security and compliance

  • Intercom's security page names SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 27018, ISO 42001, AIUC-1, HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA.
  • It lists data hosting in the US, EU and Australia.
  • LuckPanda holds none of these certificates. Our security page explains what we store and what the bot can and cannot do.

  • No helpdesk: no ticketing, no shared inbox across channels, and no Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce or Slack integration.
  • No email, SMS, WhatsApp, social or voice channels.
  • No scheduled re-sync of website content.
  • No SOC 2, ISO or HIPAA certificates.
  • No per-seat team model, no analytics beyond History, no white-label.
Decide

Who should pick which

Pick Intercom Fin if

  • You have a support team and a helpdesk, or want one.
  • You answer on email, WhatsApp, SMS or social as well as chat.
  • You need certificates for procurement or regulated work.
  • Paying per outcome suits you because it ties cost to results.

Pick LuckPanda if

  • Your website is the main place customers ask questions.
  • You want a predictable monthly price that does not rise with volume.
  • You want leads in a CRM without another integration.
  • You run up to 10 websites and want one plan for all.

Questions

What is a Fin outcome?

Intercom charges $0.99 when Fin produces an outcome in a conversation: a resolution, a procedure handoff, a disqualification or a self-serve routing. A qualification costs $9.99. You pay at most one outcome per conversation, and nothing when the chat goes to your team without one.

Can I use Fin without Intercom's helpdesk?

Yes. Intercom says Fin works with other helpdesks such as Salesforce and HubSpot, with no seat cost and a minimum of 50 outcomes a month. LuckPanda has no helpdesk integrations.

Is there a free trial?

Fin has a 14-day trial with no card required. LuckPanda has no time-limited trial: building and testing a chatbot is free, and you pay ₹249 a month only when you put it live.

Which is cheaper?

It depends on volume and currency, and we do not convert. At 50 outcomes a month Fin costs $49.50; at 500 it costs $495. LuckPanda stays at ₹249 a month for up to 10 websites, within its default daily message limit.

Does LuckPanda have the same certificates as Intercom?

No. Intercom lists SOC 2 Type II, several ISO certifications and HIPAA. LuckPanda has none of these.
