How to use the plumbing invoice
- Record the customer, the address and the problem reported.
- Bill the call-out and the labour time.
- List each part and fixture with its price.
- Note any permit and your warranty, then save.
A plumbing invoice, line by line
| Line | Why it is separate |
|---|---|
| Emergency or standard call-out | Covers travel and attendance; agreed up front |
| Labour, hours at your rate | Shows time on site |
| Parts and fixtures, each listed | The customer can compare with retail prices |
| Disposal of the old fixture | Often queried when bundled |
| Permit fee | Passed through at cost |
Warranty and payment terms
State how long your workmanship is guaranteed and that manufacturer warranties cover the fixtures. Home plumbing jobs are normally paid on completion by card or transfer; property managers and builders often get Net 15 or Net 30 on an account.
