Chatbot for

Answer the front-desk questions, and nothing clinical

Most calls to a clinic are about logistics: which doctor sits on Saturday, what the consultation costs, where to park, what to bring. The chatbot answers those from your website. Anything about symptoms, medicines or reports goes to your staff.

No account needed to try it. We read the public pages of your site, build the chatbot in about a minute and delete it after 7 days unless you keep it.

  • Logistics from your own pages
  • Clinical questions go to a person
  • Free to set up and test
Start with the timetable

Who sits when, and what it costs

The question patients ask most is some version of "is the doctor in today". Publish your timetable as a table on your site, or upload it as a CSV, and the bot answers from it.

Set the boundaries first

Four settings to make before anyone sees it

  1. InstructionsSay it in plain words: answer only timings, fees, location and preparation the clinic publishes; never comment on symptoms, medicines, doses or reports; for an emergency, give your emergency number and 108.
  2. Handoff topicsList words that always send the chat to a person, such as pain, bleeding, pregnant, dose, report and emergency. They match whole words, so add the forms patients use.
  3. GreetingSay what the chat is for and that it is not for emergencies, for example: "I can help with timings, fees and directions. For an emergency, call 108."
  4. HoursSet front-desk hours and an offline message, so a patient knows when a person will read a handed-over chat.

Put the same "not for emergencies" line on your website, next to the chat. The bot follows its instructions, but no chatbot can promise to recognise every urgent message.

Sample conversation on a fictional clinic, Sanjeevani Family Clinic, Pune

Is skin doctor available on saturday evening? Fees?
Yes. Dr N. Mehta (dermatology) sees patients on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. The consultation fee is ₹800, and a follow-up visit within 7 days is ₹400.
Searched knowledge: dermatologist Saturday timings fee
From the page: Doctors and timings
Appointment needed or walk in ok? First time
Walk-ins are seen in order of arrival, and patients with appointments are seen first. For a first visit, bring a photo ID and any earlier prescriptions or reports. There is a one-time registration fee of ₹100.
Searched knowledge: walk-in first visit what to bring
From the page: Your first visit
Ok. Also my mother has chest pain since morning, which tablet should she take?
I cannot advise on symptoms or medicines. If the pain is severe or getting worse, call 108 or go to the nearest emergency department now. I have passed this chat to our front desk, and a person will reply here.
Handed to a person: Visitor mentioned "pain"

The timings and fees came from the clinic's pages. The handoff was a rule: "pain" is one of the clinic's handoff topics. The words about 108 came from the instructions the clinic wrote. Write those instructions yourself, and check them with your doctors.

Appointments

It takes a request. Your front desk books.

What it can do

  • Tell patients which days and hours each doctor sits
  • Explain how appointments and walk-ins work, as your page says
  • Take a name, phone number and preferred day as a callback request
  • Put the request in your CRM with a follow-up task, and email your front desk on the paid plan

What it cannot do

  • See your appointment calendar or free slots
  • Book, confirm, move or cancel an appointment
  • Send reminders by SMS or WhatsApp
  • Take a consultation fee or an advance

If you want a callback list, set the goal to lead generation and ask for name and phone only. Do not add lead questions about symptoms or history. The front desk can ask when they call.

What to feed it

Pages that answer the phone for you

  • Doctors, departments and OPD timings
  • Consultation, registration and follow-up fees
  • Address, landmark, parking, and the nearest metro or bus stop
  • What to bring: photo ID, earlier reports, insurance card
  • Insurers and TPAs for cashless treatment, only as the list you publish
  • Preparation notes your clinic already publishes, such as fasting before a blood test
  • Holidays and changed timings, as a short text source you keep up to date
Patient information

Data, compliance and limits

  • Chats are stored in your LuckPanda account so your staff can read them. Patients may type health details even if you do not ask, so ask them in the greeting not to.
  • LuckPanda makes no HIPAA or other health-data compliance claim, and holds no SOC 2 or ISO certificate. Use the chat for public logistics only.
  • It knows only your pages and documents. It cannot see a patient's history, reports or prescriptions.
  • It can still be wrong. Test it with real front-desk questions, and read the chats in the first weeks.
  • Deleting a single chat from the app is not built yet. Write to hello@luckpanda.app and it is removed.

Questions

Will it give medical advice?

It is told to answer only from your sources, and you add your own instructions and handoff topics on top. No chatbot can promise it will never say something it should not, so test it with the kinds of messages patients send, and read the chats.

Can patients book an appointment through it?

No. It does not connect to a booking calendar and cannot confirm a slot. It can take a name, phone number and preferred day, and your front desk calls back.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

LuckPanda makes no HIPAA or health-data compliance claim. Use it for public logistics such as timings, fees and directions, and ask patients not to share medical details in the chat.

What happens if a patient writes about an emergency?

If the message contains one of your handoff topics, the chat goes to a person and the bot says what your instructions tell it, such as your emergency number. It cannot call anyone. On the paid plan your staff get an email that a patient is waiting. Say on your site that the chat is not for emergencies.

We have three branches. One chatbot or three?

One project per website. If the branches share a website, one project answers for all of them, so list each branch's timings clearly. Separate websites can each have a project, up to 10 on the Chatbot plan at ₹249 a month.

For AI agents

Build it with your AI agent

Give an agent your site and it can create the chatbot, read your pages and test it through LuckPanda's API and MCP. It prepares the work; going live stays with you.

Use LuckPanda's MCP server (https://luckpanda.app/mcp) to build a website chatbot for me. Ask for my website address, call chatbot_create_from_website with it, wait until the pages are learned (chatbot_source_list), then run a few test questions with chatbot_test_message and show me the answers. Do not put it live: I will do that myself.

Instructions for AI agents

Needs a LuckPanda agent key (Settings › Developers) with the chatbot.manage grant. MCP endpoint: https://luckpanda.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP, bearer key).

  • chatbot_create_from_website { url }: creates a draft chatbot named after the site and starts reading it.
  • chatbot_source_list: pages learned, failed or skipped, with a reason for each.
  • chatbot_test_message: asks the bot a question as the owner. Test chats never email anyone.
  • Going live (chatbot_update with status live) is a person's action; an agent gets APPROVAL_REQUIRED.

See it on your own website

Paste your address and watch the chatbot learn your pages. No account and no card.
